Simulation Analysis of Torsion Beam Hydroforming Based on the Fluid-Solid Coupling Method

Abstract Hydroformed parts are widely used in industrial automotive because of their higher stiffness and fatigue strength reduced weight relative to corresponding cast welded parts. This paper reports a hydraulic-forming experimental platform for rectangular tube fittings that was constructed conduct an experiment on the hydraulic forming fittings. A finite element model established basis fluid–solid coupling method simulation analysis. The correctness analysis feasibility were verified by comparing results with results. On process torsion beam using method, sliding mold suitable hydroforming beams designed its structural characteristics. effects fluid characteristics, shaping pressure, axial feed rate, friction coefficient wall thicknesses torsions during formation investigated. Fluid movement speed related deformation. Shaping pressure had significant effect rounded corners straight edges. increased, uneven distribution effectively improved. Although nonsignificant thickness ladder-shaped region, it influence large deformation V-shaped area. In this paper, fluid-solid die is proposed study high law beam.
